A record-breaking partnership consisting of a mind-blowing century from Alyssa Healy added a couple of points to Sydney Sixers defeating Stars by 45 runs.

Winning the toss, birthday girl, Ellyse Perry opted to bat on a rock-solid batting surface at WACA. It was a one-sided show as both the openers Alyssa Healy and Ellyse Perry recorded the highest first-wicket partnership of 199 runs in 20 overs. It was an amazing display of batting from Perry and Healy. The latter was on the aggressive side and Perry focussed more on classy shots. It was a treat to all the fans out there watching the game. Alyssa Healy scored another ton of WBBL as she finished her innings on 106* and Perry finished at 87*. In the end, Sixers completed their inning at 199 for 0 in 20 overs.

Chasing the target of 200, Stars tried their best to get a good start, after a quick start of 43 runs, Lee lost her wicket being aggressive and following her countrymate, Du Preez too lost her wicket early. The pressure of chasing a high total put them in trouble. On one side skipper, Villani tried her best and reached her second half-century of this season. She scored another 59 runs and she got some good support by Martin and Faltum which was not enough on the day chasing a mammoth target of 200. In the end, Stars finished their inning at 154 for 6, losing the match by 49 runs. With the ball, it was a senior pro, Aley who was excellent with the figures of 2 for 18 in 4 overs.
