Alyssa Healy, who played four games for Sydney Sixers in the WBBL 10, has been ruled out of the tournament after suffering a knee injury. Following Healy’s injury, Sydney Sixers have announced Frankie Nicklin as a replacement for Healy ahead of the clash against Sydney Thunders.

Alyssa Healy, the Australian skipper had approached the tenth edition suffering a foot injury that she had sustained during the 2024 T20 World Cup which resulted in her missing out on a couple of matches for Australia including the semi-final against South Africa as well as the initial matches for the Sydney Sixers.

Although after she returned to action for the Sydney Sixers, the star batter failed to make an impact with the bat scoring 20 runs in four innings, a rare slump for the experienced campaigner with the bat.

Though there is no confirmation from Cricket Australia nor Sydney Sixers on the timeframe of her recovery, it is understood that the injury is not that serious, but it will race against the clock for the Australian skipper who will eye on recovering ahead of the three-match ODI series against India which is part of the ODI Championship commencing on December 5th.

Frankie Nicklin, who comes in as a replacement for Healy had featured earlier in the two matches for the Sydney Sixers.
