This will be the fourth match of the tournament for both the teams. Both the teams have not won a single match in this year’s competition so far. While London Spirit have lost to Southern Brave, Northern Superchargers, and Trent Rockets, on the other hand, Welsh Fire have suffered defeats at the hands of Birmingham Phoenix, Manchester Originals, and Southern Brave.

Players to watch out for

Naomi Dattani: The left-handed middle order batter of London Spirit top scored for her team in her last match against Trent Rockets. Coming in at number five, she hammered 38 runs off 34 balls, including two boundaries and a six. She played well under pressure chasing 143 and almost helped her side cross the line.

Amelia Kerr: The right arm leg spinner from London Spirit was the pick of the bowlers for her side in her last appearance against Trent Rockets. She scalped 23/2 in her full quota of 20 balls. Additionally, with the bat, the right-handed batter smashed 26 off 19, including three boundaries.

Hayley Matthews: The star West Indian all-rounder made useful contributions with both bat and ball for Welsh Fire in her last outing against Southern Brave. With the ball, the right arm off spinner struck with 26/2 in her full set of 20 balls. Apart from this, opening the batting, she scored run a ball 20, including three boundaries. 

Sarah Bryce: The right-handed middle order batter and wicket-keeper of Welsh Fire starred with the bat in her last match against Southern Brave. She muscled 28 off 21, including a couple of boundaries and a six. She fought hard in the run chase however failed to take her side home falling short of 14 runs.

Pitch

This will be the first match of the tournament at this venue. Last year, five matches of the Women’s Hundred were played here, out of which the teams batting first won three and the teams batting second won two. The average first innings score is 125 and the average second innings score is 110. It seems to be a good wicket to bat on.
