The 10th match of the Hundred Women’s Competition 2022 will be played between Southern Brave and Manchester Originals on August 18 at the Rose Bowl in Southampton. The match will start at 8 PM IST.

This will be the third match of the tournament for both the teams. While Southern Brave have won both their last matches, one against London Spirit by six wickets and the other against Oval Invincibles by 12 runs, Manchester Originals, on the other hand have lost to Trent Rockets by 43 runs and won against Welsh Fire by 11 runs.

Players to watch out for

Smriti Mandhana:

The left-handed opening batter from India was the top run scorer for Southern Brave in her last match against Oval Invincibles. She smashed 46 runs off 25 balls, including 10 boundaries. In the process, she stitched a 63-run partnership with her opening partner Danielle Wyatt.

Georgia Adams: 

The right arm off spinner from England was the pick of the bowlers for Southern Brave in her last fixture against Oval Invincibles. She scalped 16/2 in her full quota of 20 balls. She was also the most economical bowler for her side giving away just 0.8 runs per ball. She won the player of the match for her match winning bowling performance. Apart from her bowling, she made useful 18 runs off 13 balls, batting in the middle order.

Deandra Dottin: 

The star West Indian all-rounder won the player of the match for Manchester Originals in her last outing against Welsh Fire. She made useful contributions with both bat and ball. Coming in at number three, the right-handed batter muscled an unbeaten 67 off 37, including eight boundaries and two sixes. With the ball, she scalped 21/2, bowling 15 balls of right arm medium pace.

Sophie Ecclestone: 

More known for her left arm spin, this English spinner, who plays for Manchester Originals had a great outing with the bat against Welsh Fire in her last appearance. She hammered an undefeated 36 off 18, including three boundaries and two sixes, batting at number four. With the ball, she claimed 27/1 in 20 balls.

Pitch

This will be the second match of the tournament at this venue. The last match saw more than 300 runs being scored. Only eight wickets fell in the process. The wicket is expected to be batting friendly and offer a high scoring contest. The bowlers will have to outthink the batters to get the better of them.
