Date – 5 September 2019, Thursday.
2nd Semi-final – Thailand vs Papua New Guinea.
Time- 2:00 PM local time (6:30 PM IST).
Venue – Dundee
Thailand Women will take on PNG women in the 2nd semi-final. Thailand women have been professional with their performances, their bowlers have been exceptional and have seen them home. They go into the semi-final with some great form in their ranks. Chanida Sutthiruang has picked up 10 wickets in 3 games so far and is the leading wicket-taker in the tournament. While this has been a low scoring tournament so far and so the semi-finals could also be a low scoring affair.
PNG women, on the other hand, have had the highest score in the tournament to their name. They have played beautifully just losing one game against Bangladesh which was again a rain-curtailed game. The team winning this game is surely going to be a part of the main event in Australia thus both the teams have a bigger prize to play for.
Head-to-Head
We can just hope that the rain stays away for a while and we get a full game of cricket. No previous matches have been played between these two teams, but this is going to be a cracker of a game.
