The fifth match of the Women’s T20I Quadrangular Series 2022 will be played between Zimbabwe and Thailand at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai on September 13. The match will start at 11.30 AM IST.

This will be the third and the last match of the tournament for both teams. Zimbabwe and Thailand have won both their matches in this competition so far. They have defeated USA and UAE in their earlier matches.

Players to watch 

Modester Mupachikwa: 

The right-handed opening batter of Zimbabwe hammered an undefeated 75 off 62 in the last match against UAE. She smashed 12 hits to the fence and helped her side post a challenging score of 152/2 in 20 overs. She put together 109 runs for the third wicket with her captain Mary-Anne Musonda.

Loryn Phiri: 

The right arm off spinner of Zimbabwe was the pick of the bowlers in her last outing against UAE. She claimed 8/3 in three overs, including two wickets in the 17th over and one in the 19th over. She kept her cool and bowled well towards the business end of the innings helping her team to register a 47-run win.

Nattaya Boochatham: 

The right arm off spinner from Thailand was the most successful bowler in her last match against USA. She scalped 16/2 in her full quota of four overs. She picked up both the wickets in the third over of the match. She bowled well with the new ball inside the powerplay.

Natthakan Chantham: 

The right-handed opening batter of Thailand bagged her second consecutive player of the match award in her last outing against USA. She scored an unbeaten 36 off 30 and guided her team to a 10-wicket win chasing 80. She smashed half a dozen boundaries in her delectable knock. She stitched an 82-run partnership with her opening partner Nannapat Koncharoenkai. Apart from this, she accounted for two run outs and claimed one catch.

Pitch

This will be the fifth match of the tournament at this venue. Out of the four matches played so far, the teams batting first have won one and the teams batting second have won three. The average first innings score is 112 and the average second innings score is 102. Expect a high scoring contest as both the teams are in good batting form.
