The fourth match of the Women’s T20I Quadrangular Series 2022 will be played between USA and Thailand at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai on September 12. The match will start at 3.30PM IST.

This will be the second match for both the teams. While USA lost their first match against Zimbabwe by five wickets, Thailand, on the other hand, won their first match against UAE by five wickets.

Players to watch

Isani Vaghela: The right arm speedster of USA accounted for 9/2 in two overs in her last match against Zimbabwe. She bowled well inside the powerplay and picked up both her wickets in the sixth over, which was the last over of the powerplay. In addition to this, she contributed with the bat, scoring 14 off 21, coming in at number four. She is a right-handed batter.

Snigdha Paul: The left-handed opening batter of USA starred with the bat in her last fixture against Zimbabwe. She mustered 26 runs off 40 balls to provide a steady start to her team. The southpaw struck a couple of boundaries in her innings and was there in the middle till the 11th over. She also opened the bowling and claimed 20/1 in two overs, striking in the very first over of the innings. She is a right arm medium pacer.

Chanida Sutthiruang: The right arm seamer from Thailand picked up 11/2 in two overs in her last match against UAE. She opened the bowling and bowled well with the new ball. Apart from her bowling, she made a useful contribution with the bat scoring 19 off 14, including four boundaries, batting at number six.

Natthakan Chantham: The right-handed opening batter of Thailand won the player of the match in her last outing against UAE. She scored an unbeaten 49 off 45 and guided her team to a five-wicket win chasing 106. She smashed seven boundaries in her entertaining knock. She stitched a 42-run partnership with her opening partner Nannapat Koncharoenkai to set the tone for the run chase.

Pitch

This will be the fourth match of the tournament and the second match of the day at this venue. The wicket is expected to be on the slower side. Batting may look difficult and the spinners could play an important role. A nail-biting thriller could be on the cards 

Weather

The weather is expected to see intervals of clouds and sunshine. The maximum temperature attained during the day could be 38 degrees Celsius. There will be 54 percent cloud cover and no chance of rain. The wind will blow from the west-southwest.
