Bio:

Nashra Sandhu, a rising star in Pakistan’s women’s cricket, her journey began in 2017 during the Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier against South Africa, marking her WODI debut. This match served as a trigger for her talent, but it was the 2017 Women’s Cricket World Cup that truly paved her way in cricketing history.

Bowling with determination against India in the 2017 Women’s Cricket World Cup match on June 11th, Nashra ripped through their batting order, claiming a spectacular first four-wicket haul for a mere 26 runs in just 10 overs. This phenomenal performance drove her to the top of the tournament’s wicket-taking charts, with an incredible 17 dismissals at an average of 11.05 runs per wicket. This achievement not only brought immense pride to Pakistan but also established Nashra as a force to be reckoned with on the international stage.

Following her World Cup heroics, Nashra made her WT20I debut later in 2017 against New Zealand. Since then, she has been a vital part in the Pakistan bowling attack, featuring in major tournaments like the 2018 ICC Women’s World Twenty20, the 2021 Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier, and the 2022 Women’s Cricket World Cup. Her dedication and consistent performances have been rewarded with a place among the top 10 bowlers in the ICC Women’s T20I Rankings, reaching a career-best ranking of number 5 in November 2023.
