Fatima Sana, a rising star in Pakistan cricket, has impressed with her right-arm medium-fast bowling. She sharpened her skills playing for domestic teams like Karachi and Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited. Her talent extended beyond Pakistani borders, she even had spells with Barbados Royals and Canterbury Magicians, showcasing her adaptability across leagues.

Fatima’s international career began in 2019 when she was selected for the Pakistan squad touring South Africa. This tour marked her debut in both WODIs and WT20Is, with her first appearances coming against South Africa on May 6th and 15th, respectively. Her dedication to the sport was further recognized in January 2020 with a call-up to the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in Australia.

While initially establishing herself in the team, a remarkable feat awaited Fatima in June 2021 during Pakistan’s tour of the West Indies. In the final match of the series, she delivered a career-defining performance, clinching her first ever five-wicket haul in WODIs with an impressive bowling spell of 5/39. This achievement solidified her reputation as a crucial member of the Pakistan bowling attack.

Fatima’s cricketing journey continued with selections for major tournaments like the 2021 Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier and the 2022 Women’s Cricket World Cup.
