Players to watch out:

Ainna Hamizah Hashim

The 24-year-old all-rounder in T20Is, from 67 outings, has picked up 44 wickets at an economy rate of 5.09, and from 56 innings, has added 429 runs, with bests of 46* and 5/4. In their recent campaign, Ainna didn’t find any success, departing cheaply for 6, 3, and 0, alongside bowling figures of 0/25, 0/35, and 0/11. However, she scored 31 runs in her most recent outing and hopefully capitalizes on this return to form.

Nur Dania Syuhada

The 19-year-old off-spinner, from 43 T20I outings, has scalped 31 wickets, with the best of 4/14, at an economy rate of 4.80, and can be more than handy with the bat on a few occasions. Nur Dania didn’t feature in the team’s most recent campaign, and on her return in this series opener, though she cheaply departed for 2(3) opening the innings, her bowling returns read 1/12 (4) and she will be relied upon for all-round efforts.

Jurriene Diergaardt

The 24-year-old all-rounder, from 65 T20I outings, has posted 693 runs, including the highest score of 62*, while also claiming 32 wickets from 37 innings, maintaining an economy rate of 4.85. Jurriene has been in notable form lately, and though she hasn’t posted many runs, she has returned bowling figures of 1/15, 0/2, 1/9, 1/7, and 1/16. She is an experienced campaigner and can be counted on for wickets and to find her way back among the runs.

Saima Tuhadeleni

The 19-year-old pacer, averaging 12.50 and maintaining an economy rate of 5.17, has picked up 16 wickets from 10 outings and recorded the best of 3/16. Saima has been in extraordinary form lately, returning figures of 2/17 and 3/18 in her recent outings. Carrying the momentum into this series, she produced bowling figures of 3/16 in the series opener, and given this form, she can be relied upon for breakthroughs.

Pitch:

The bowling-friendly conditions at Selangor Turf Club result in low-scoring matches. Bowlers, particularly pacers, have a significant impact on the game, as batters face difficulties in scoring runs, reflected in the average score of 98 runs.

Weather:

Despite cloudy skies, the likelihood of rain during match hours is minimal, promising an uninterrupted game. The temperature is forecast to hover around 29°C, with light winds and 77% humidity.
