Pakistan skipper Nida Dar won the toss and elected to field first. After being inserted to bat first, West Indies got off to a poor start as they lost the wicket of Rashada Williams in the 4th over of the innings. Fatima Sana provided the first breakthrough for Pakistan. The duo scored over seven runs an over, before Afy Fletcher picked up the wicket of Ayesha Zafar to provide the first breakthrough for the West Indies. Muneeba Ali joined Sidra Ameen at the crease and the duo stitched a 23-run partnership for the 2nd wicket before Muneeba Ali was found short of her crease to provide the 2nd breakthrough for the West Indies.
