Players to Watch
The star all-rounder of South Africa Women’s U19 won the player of the match award in her last outing against Scotland Women’s U19. The right-handed middle-order batter muscled 53 off 49, including five boundaries and a six. She also accounted for 11/1 in three overs, bowling right-arm off-spin.
The wily right-arm leg-spinner of South Africa Women’s U19 became the first player to register a hat-trick in the ICC Women’s U19 T20 World Cup. She scalped 16/4 in four overs and took a hat-trick in the 15th over. She was consistent with her lines and lengths and yielded rich dividends.
The dashing all-rounder of UAE Women’s U19 was the most economical bowler for her side in the last fixture against India Women’s U19, which was a high-scoring one. The right-arm seamer picked 33/1 in four overs, coming into bowl as the first change. Besides her bowling, she is a good right-handed top-order batter.
The left-arm speedster of UAE Women’s U19 opened the bowling with Indhuja Nandakumar in the last match against India Women’s U19. Though she went for far too many runs in that outing, she is an excellent speedster and can trouble any batter when on song. With the bat, she top-scored with a run-a-ball 26, hitting a couple of sixes.
It will be the tournament’s sixth game at this venue, with the fifth being played early in the day. Out of the four matches played here till January 17, the teams batting first and second have won two apiece. The average first innings score is 157, and the average second innings score is 117. Expect batting-friendly conditions and a likelihood of a run feast.
The weather is expected to see times of clouds and sun. The maximum temperature attained during the day will be 28 degrees Celsius. There will be a 70 percent cloud cover and a one percent chance of rain. The wind will blow from the north.
