Shweta Sehrawat:
The right-handed opening batter of India Women’s U19 is blowing in red hot form, having muscled back-to-back half-centuries in this competition. The vice-captain of the side scored an undefeated 74 off 49 in her last match against UAE Women’s U19. She blasted 10 boundaries and stitched a 111-run partnership with her opening partner Shafali Verma.
Shafali Verma:
After missing out on a well-deserved half-century in the first match, the captain of India Women’s U19 was determined to make the most of her start in the second fixture against UAE Women’s U19. The right-handed opening batter hammered 78 off 34, including a dozen boundaries and four sixes. She also bowled a couple of overs and conceded seven runs. She bagged the player of the match award in her last appearance.
Katherine Fraser:
The captain of Scotland Women’s U19 was the pick of the bowlers in her last fixture against South Africa Women’s U19. The wily right-arm off-spinner claimed 25/3 in four overs and struck twice in the fourth over. She was also effective in the death overs. She can also be handy with the bat in the middle-order.
Emma Walsingham:
juThe right-handed top-order batter of Scotland Women’s U19 scored the most runs for her side in the last match against South Africa Women’s U19. She mustered 17 off 18, including three hits to the fence. She fought hard; however, she failed to capitalise on the start.
Pitch
It will be the sixth game of the tournament at this venue, with the fifth being played early in the day. Out of the four matches played here till January 17, the teams batting first have won one, and the teams batting second have won three. The wicket will suit the batters and produce plenty of runs. The spinners could get some assistance in the latter half of the match due to the wear and tear of the surface.
