Players to watch out:

Chanida Sutthiruang

The 30-year-old all-rounder in T20Is, from 66 innings, has amassed 769 runs and scalped 72 wickets from 81 bowling outings, registering bests of 46* and 5/4. In the ongoing tournament, while Chanida hasn’t been required much with the bat, she’s been outstanding with the ball, returning figures of 1/15 (3), 2/10 (4), and 2/15 (4). The team will count on her to lead the tally.

Nattaya Boochatham

The 37-year-old all-rounder, with the ball, averaging 9.75 and maintaining an economy rate of 3.98, has picked up 118 wickets from 85 outings, while also scoring 617 runs from 60 innings. In the global qualifier, while Nattaya hasn’t scored many runs, she’s been effective with the ball, producing figures of 0/22 (4), 2/8 (2.4), and 0/11 (3). Ailsa Lister

The 20-year-old middle-order batter has accumulated 470 runs, at a strike rate of 140.29, from 27 T20I innings and notched up the highest of 68*. Ailsa in the competition opener scored a solid 55* and followed up with scores of 13 and 34. Given the form she is in, it’ll be hoped she capitalizes on these scores, continuing to contribute significantly to the scoring.

Kathryn Bryce

The 26-year-old all-rounder has racked up 1099 runs from 41 innings, averaging 36.63, while also striking 42 wickets from as many bowling outings, maintaining an economy rate of 4.35. Though Bryce had a quiet start to this campaign, departing for a duck, she followed up with scores of 22 and 57*, while her bowling figures read 1/9 (3), 0/14 (2), and 4/17 (4). She’ll be relied upon to deliver the goods.

Pitch:

The center wicket at Tolerance Oval offers a relatively balanced deck as the conditions favor both batters and bowlers. Bowlers, especially spinners, gain an advantage from the conditions, and a score in the 150s is considered to be challenging on this track.

Weather:

With light winds, humidity at 54%, and the temperature forecasted to hover around 32°C, the conditions are pleasant for cricket. The overhead is expected to be sunny, and the chances of rain are minimal.
