Both teams lost their last games. While West Indies suffered defeat at the hands of India A U19 by 10 wickets, Sri Lanka were beaten by India B U19 by 12 runs.

The wicket-keeper and left-handed opening batter of West Indies was the lone warrior in the fight against India A in her last outing. The southpaw mustered 41 off 63, including three boundaries. She registered close to 50 percent of the runs scored by her team. She held the innings together and batted till the start of the 20th over.
The wily right-arm off-spinner of West Indies was the most economical bowler for her side in her last fixture against India A. She bowled four overs and gave away 12 runs. She bowled 16 dot balls in her spell. Besides her bowling, she is a handy left-handed middle-order batter.
The right-handed middle-order batter of Sri Lanka starred with the bat as she muscled 33 off 30 in her last game against India B. She top-scored for her team and smacked a couple of boundaries and a six in her innings. She also bowled one over and conceded 13 runs.
The right-arm speedster of Sri Lanka was one of the most successful bowlers for her side in her last fixture against India B. She claimed 20/2 in four overs. She opened the bowling with Pamoda Shaini and bowled well with the new ball. With the bat, she scored 20 off 18, including three boundaries.
It will be the tournament’s third match at the venue. Out of the two games played here, the teams batting first and second have won one game each. The wicket looks good for batting. Expect plenty of runs. On the other hand, there is assistance for the spinners, who may get some turn and bounce.
