The 12th match of the Pondicherry Women’s T10 League will be played between Princess and Queens on July 9 at the Cricket Association Puducherry Siechem Ground in Puducherry. While the Princess lost their last match against the Angels, Queens drew their last match against the Lionesses.

Players to watch

Likhitha VG: 

The right-handed opening batter of Princess top-scored with an undefeated 35 off 34 balls in her last outing against the Angels. Her innings was embellished with three boundaries. She held the innings together and helped her side post a respectable score on board. She also bowled two overs and gave away 16 runs.

Sonal Patil: 

She was the pick of the bowlers for Princess in her last match against the Angels. The right-arm speedster opened the bowling and scalped 14/2 in two overs. She bowled well with the new ball and struck in the very first over of the innings giving her team the perfect start. Apart from her bowling, she is a right-handed top-order batter.

Roshini Natarajan Rajasekaran: 

The right-handed opening batter of Queens starred with the bat as she muscled 27 runs off 23 balls, including four boundaries in her last outing against Lionesses. She laid a solid foundation for her team and was there in the middle till the eighth over of the match. She also opened the bowling and bowled two overs, conceding 16 runs.

Nandhini Chandrasekaran:

The right-arm medium pace bowler from Queens was the pick of the bowlers in her last outing against Lionesses. She scalped 7/2 in her two overs and was the most economical bowler. She struck in the first and the last over of the match. She is also a right-handed top-order batter.

Pitch

This will be the 12th match of the tournament at the venue. Out of the 10 matches that were played till July 8, the teams batting first have won six, the teams batting second have won three and one match has ended in a draw. The average first innings score is 68 and the average second innings score is 59. A 100 percent cloud cover could make batting difficult as the fast bowlers will be expected to exploit the conditions.
