The 11th match of the Pondicherry Women’s T10 League will be played between Angels and Lionesses on July 9 at the Cricket Association Puducherry Siechem Ground in Puducherry. While the Angels won their last match against the Princess, Lionesses drew their last match against the Queens.

Players to watch

Janaki R Ramasamy: 

The right arm speedster from Angels accounted for 8/1 in two overs in her last appearance against Princess. She opened the bowling with Srimeera Chandrasekaran and bowled well with the new ball. She was also the most economical bowler in the side.

Kavisha Elayaperumal: 

She won the player of the match in her last outing against Princess. The right-handed opening batter from Angels top scored with an unbeaten 27 off 21 balls, including three boundaries. She led the run chase from the front and guided her team to an eight-wicket win. She also bowled a couple of overs and conceded 11 runs.

Anjana B: 

The right-handed opening batter of Lionesses smashed 35 runs off just 27 balls, including five boundaries in her last outing against Queens. She stitched a 57-run partnership for the second wicket with Arunadevi Sekar. The duo laid a solid foundation for the run chase.

Arunadevi Sekar:

The right arm leg spinner from Lionesses was the pick of the bowlers in her last outing against Queens. She scalped 6/2 in her two overs and was the most economical bowler. The wily spinner bowled the eighth and 10th over of the match picking up a wicket in each of the overs. Apart from her bowling, she contributed with the bat, scoring 25 runs of as many balls.

Pitch

This will be the 11th match of the tournament at the venue. Out of the 10 matches that were played till July 8, the teams batting first have won six, the teams batting second have won three and one match has ended in a draw. The average first innings score is 68 and the average second innings score is 59. A 100 percent cloud cover could make batting difficult as the fast bowlers will be expected to exploit the conditions.
