List of Milestones from the Australia v India 2nd ODI:

Mastering the conditions on offer at the Allan Border Field, Brisbane

Australia currently has a 20-match winning streak at the venue, Allan Border Field, in the ODI format. It is also the most number of matches without a defeat by any side at a particular venue in the format.

Georgia Voll is the 3rd youngest ODI centurion for Australia

Georgia Voll made her international debut on 5th December 2024 in the first ODI of the series at the Allan Border Field, Brisbane. She missed out on her maiden ODI half-century, staying unbeaten on 46* as the home side got over the line. However, she converted her maiden ODI half-century into a massive knock, notching up her maiden ODI century (101 off 87 balls).

She also became the 3rd youngest Australian at the age of 21 years and 125 days after former legendary Australian skipper Meg Lanning (18 Years and 288 days) and her current opening partner Phoebe Litchfield (20 Years and 101 days), to have scored a century in the ODI format.

“Tripe Ton” of centuries in Women’s ODIs

We witnessed a couple of centurions in the form of Georgia Voll (101 off 87 balls) and Ellyse Perry (105 off 75 balls) in the 2nd ODI of the ongoing three-match ODI series between Australia and India. The century by Georgia Voll was the 300th century in the history of Women’s ODIs.

The massive 130-run opening stand between Phoebe Litchfield and Georgia Voll, at the Allan Border Field, Brisbane in the 2nd ODI of the series was the first instance when the two Australian openers aged under 21 or less made a 50+ score in the same ODI innings.

Impeccable solidity at the top of the order

It is the first instance in the history of the Women’s ODIs that the team has made 90+ run stands for each of the first three wickets in the same innings.

It was also the first instance that the Australian top four batters have notched up a 50+ score.

Vintage Ellyse record machine Perry

The 34-year-old veteran all-rounder Ellyse Perry notched up her 3rd century (105 off 75 balls) in the ODI format, her first ton since 2019. It was also her fastest century in the format for Australia to date.

She also became the fourth Australian woman to complete 4,000 runs in the format, and only the 2nd player after Stafanie Taylor from the West Indies to complete 4,000 runs and take 100+ wickets in the ODI format. She is the only woman across all formats to complete 7,000 runs and take 300 wickets at the international level.

She is the only woman in the history of Women’s ODIs to score 3 centuries and take 3 five-wicket hauls in the format. With 6 maximums in the 2nd ODI, she now holds the record for the most number of maximums in an innings by an Australian.
