Ellyse Perry completes 4000 ODI Runs during 2nd ODI at Brisbane

The 34-year-old veteran swashbuckling all-rounder Ellyse Alexandra Perry from Wahroonga, Sydney, New South Wales, made her international debut in an ODI on 22nd July 2007, against New Zealand at the Gardens Oval, Darwin.

In her glorious career so far she has earned multiple accolades and achieved various milestones en route her “Larger than Life” career at the international level so far. She completed another milestone in the ongoing three-match ODI series against India in the 2nd game of the series at the Allan Border Field, Brisbane.

She completed 1,000 runs in the ODI format on 21st July 2015, in the first ODI at County Ground, Taunton, when she scored a brilliant half-century (78 off 96 balls) against England. She completed 2,000 runs in the ODI format for her side on 2nd July 2017, in the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2017, in New Zealand against the home side in the 10th match of the tournament. She scored another well-compiled half-century (71 off 91 balls) at the County Ground, Bristol. She was also awarded the Player of the Match for her brilliant performance with the bat.

She scored her maiden century in the format on 24th February 2019, in the 2nd ODI against New Zealand, when she scored an unbeaten century (107* off 110 balls) with the bat at Karen Rolton Oval, Adelaide. She was awarded the Player of the Match for her sensational performance. She completed 3,000 runs in the format on 5th October 2019, in the 1st ODI in the bilateral series against Sri Lanka at the Allan Border Field, Brisbane en route to her innings (19 off 23 balls) for her side with the bat.

She completed 4,000 runs in the format in the 2nd ODI of the ongoing three-match ODI series against India. She notched up her 3rd ODI century (105 off 75 balls), she completed the milestone en route to her blazing innings, in the 31st over of the innings bowled by Saima Thakor. She took the full toll of the width provided by the pacer, as she slashed it with hard hands past backward point and the ball raced away to the fence.

Australia eventually ended up with a mammoth total of 371/8 in their quota of 50 overs on the back of twin centuries from Georgia Voll (101 off 87 balls) and Ellyse Perry herself (105 off 75 balls).
