The latest ICC Women’s ODI and T20I rankings, released amid the sixth edition of the ACC Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026 in the UAE, spotlight India’s Deepti Sharma’s rise in the T20I bowling table and significant gains by England and Ireland players following their three-match ODI series.
Deepti Sharma has been rewarded for her outstanding recent performances with a two-spot climb to sixth place in the ICC Women’s T20I Bowling Rankings. The right-arm spinner has taken eight wickets in three matches at the ongoing Asia Cup, helping India become the first team to secure a semi-final berth.
Though Deepti first reached the No. 1 ranking in December 2025, she now trails teammate N Shree Charani, who continues to lead the T20I bowling table. Charani has seven wickets from her three Asia Cup outings so far, but the gap between the top two Indians is just 70 rating points. Between them sit England’s Sophie Ecclestone, Charlie Dean, and Lauren Bell, along with South Africa’s Nonkululeko Mlaba.
Deepti also overtook Thailand’s Thipatcha Putthawong to become the highest wicket-taker in Women’s T20Is overall. Her 3 for 0 in 1.1 overs against Thailand in the tournament opener was pivotal in reaching that milestone. Putthawong, meanwhile, moved up four places to 47th after claiming five wickets in three games.
The Asia Cup also propelled several other players up the T20I rankings. Bangladesh’s Marufa Akter jumped 19 slots to 18th, while Chamari Athapaththu climbed five rungs to equal 28th. Sultana Khatun rose nine places to equal 37th. Thailand’s Suleeporn Laomi gained 10 spots to reach 53rd. Among batters, Bangladesh’s Sobhana Mostary moved up three places to 36th, and Dilara Akter climbed five rungs to 62nd.
Vice-captain Smriti Mandhana remains the highest-ranked Indian batter at the fifth spot after scoring a century against Hong Kong, her 18th international hundred. That innings also saw her surpass Mithali Raj as the leading run-getter in women’s internationals. Shafali Verma (seventh) and Harmanpreet Kaur (10th) are the other Indians in the T20I top ten.
Pakistan’s Nashra Sandhu, despite recording a national-best 6 for 7 against Hong Kong, slipped one notch to eighth in the bowling rankings.
In the ODI rankings, England’s stand-in skipper Charlie Dean made the most notable moves after the three-match series sweep over Ireland. Dean rose one place to ninth among all-rounders and climbed two spots to joint 11th among bowlers, having taken three wickets at an economy of 4.12 across the series. Among batters, Ireland’s Amy Hunter surged from 20th to 11th after finishing as the third-highest run-scorer in the series with 165 runs, behind England’s Sophia Dunkley (212) and Maia Bouchier (188). Bouchier moved up 13 places to 42nd, while Dunkley gained 26 spots to 43rd.
England’s Freya Kemp climbed 37 places to 76th (355 points) in batting, while Ireland’s Rebecca Stokell rose 12 spots to 92nd (305 points). In bowling, Lauren Filer jumped 14 rungs to 39th (426 points), and Cara Murray climbed 16 places to 50th (394 points).
In the all-rounder rankings, Murray and Filer both rose 16 spots to equal 53rd (84 points) alongside Sri Lanka’s Inoka Ranaweera. Filer also climbed 19 places to equal 59th (79 points) with Pakistan’s Rameen Shamim and West Indies’ Karishma Ramharack. England’s Danielle Gibson surged 83 spots to equal 92nd (59 points) alongside New Zealand’s Rosemary Mair.
With the Asia Cup entering its knockout stage and more bilateral series on the horizon, further shifts in the ICC rankings are likely in the coming weeks.
