The women’s world T20 is up for a bout of action on the pitch coming from the four qualifiers. New Zealand and Australia from group A and England and West Indies from group B, all are set to pounce on the kill in the next few days.
- New Zealand have been on a victory streak from the beginning of the tournament, with a net run rate so strong that they clinched the top spot in their group with ease.
- Australia, the defending champions, had their moments too. Their 9 wicket win over Sri Lanka surely rocketed them forward. But their low net run rate made them hold their breath during the SA vs NZ match. If SA would have won, they would have moved over Australia to second position. But fortunately for the Aussies, it wasn’t goodbye yet.
- England is the other undefeated team in the tournament. Their games have been strong, especially their thrilling win over West Indies, which had cemented their spot in the semi-finals.
- West Indies qualified for the semi-finals after a grand showdown against India. The winning team could go straight to the semi-finals. It was a tough fight but the Windies won the game by 3 runs.
4 teams, 2 matches for 1 amazing final. Who will win?
We have to wait for the 30th and the 31st of March. The first match between Australia and England will have Delhi in uproar on Wednesday. And on Thursday, New Zealand will face the West Indies for a war on the pitch in Mumbai.
You may have no nails left by the end of March.
