Pakistan’s National Women’s T20 Tournament 2026-27 Begins October 10 in Faisalabad

Faisalabad will host the National Women’s T20 Tournament 2026-27 from Saturday, 10 October, with five teams taking part. Invincibles will play Challengers in the opening match at Bohranwali Ground, while Conquerors will meet Stars at Jawad Club Ground. Both matches start at 10am, and the toss is set for 9.30am. Strikers, the fifth team, will begin against Challengers at Jawad Club Ground on Sunday, 11 October. The Pakistan Cricket Board announced the tournament details on 9 October 2026.

Five captains will lead the teams during the competition. Defending champions Stars will be captained by leg-spinner Tuba Hassan, while last season’s runners-up Invincibles will be led by right-handed opening batter Gull Feroza. Middle-order batter Ayesha Zafar will captain Challengers, and wicketkeeper-batter Muneeba Ali will lead Conquerors. Pakistan women’s team captain Fatima Sana will take charge of Strikers. Each team has a 15-player squad for the tournament.

The event will feature 75 players in total, with 15 members in each of the five teams. Six players are currently part of Pakistan’s Under-19 squad taking part in the Women’s Tri-Series in Faisalabad. They will join their respective teams after the tri-series finishes. The tournament offers prize money of more than PKR three million. The winning team will receive PKR 1.5 million, while the runners-up will take home PKR one million.

The 21-match tournament will follow a double-league format, and every team will play at least eight matches. After the league stage, the top two teams will qualify for the final. The title match is scheduled for Sunday, 25 October, at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad. Fans in Pakistan will be able to watch the final through livestreaming on Tapmad and Tamasha. The opening fixtures and full squads have been announced ahead of the first weekend of matches. The opening programme features one match at Bohranwali Ground and another at Jawad Club Ground, with both fixtures starting together. The official schedule was also made available online by the PCB.

The tournament begins with two matches on Saturday, followed by Strikers’ opening game the next day. The five teams will compete through the league stage, with the top two earning a place in the final. Stars return as defending champions, while Invincibles enter as last edition’s runners-up. The winners will collect PKR 1.5 million and the runners-up PKR one million. The final will be held at Iqbal Stadium on 25 October and livestreamed on Tapmad and Tamasha in Pakistan.
