This performance of the Proteas women has inspired the men’s team as well as Temba Bavuma, the captain of South Africa had heaps of praises for the impressive performance by South African women in the world cup.
As the men’s South Africa team is all set to start a 3 match ODI series against Bangladesh on Friday at Centurion, Bavuma shared his thoughts to the citizens.co.za on South Africa’s nail-biting victory against New Zealand.
He said “The guys are massively proud. Actually, before we started training today we got to watch a bit of the finish of their game today.”

Bavuma also added that the performance is a big inspiration and motivation for the men and also said that they had sent messages to the Proteas women in support of their world cup campaign and are now extremely happy with their positive results.
The success of Proteas women has certainly given massive confidence to the South African men as they begin their home series against Bangladesh on Friday. The South African men will play 3 ODIs and 2 Test matches against Bangladesh from March 18th to April 12th 2022.
