In the 4th match of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 edition, Gujarat Giants will be taking on Delhi Capitals. The Gujarat Giants have got off to a flying start in this season, with a 10-run victory over UP Warriorz. They will be mighty pleased with the way the batting has gone as every batter out there has contributed, especially Ash Gardner, Anushka Sharma and Sophie Devine. Their bowling could have been better as they leaked quite a few runs; nevertheless, it was a fine way to start the campaign. Here are the top 3 players to look out against Delhi Capitals:

Ashleigh Gardner
Ashleigh Gardner, the Australian all-rounder, has been in great form in recent matches, and Gujarat Giants will be looking forward to her performance in this tournament. In her T20I career, she has scored 1411 runs from 74 innings, including 6 half-centuries at a strike rate of 127. Gardner also has good numbers in the WPL with 632 runs from 26 matches at a strike rate of 143. Gardner’s excellent touch was shown in the recent match against the UP Warriorz, when she scored 65 off just 41 balls. Gujarat will be hoping she can carry her form in the tournament and help her side generate the momentum required to seal their spot in the playoffs.
Georgia Wareham
Georgia Wareham, the Australian all-rounder, was roped in by Gujarat Giants in the auction after being released by Royal Challengers Bengaluru. She has been a fine international player as she has picked up 71 wickets from 65 innings at an economy of 6.12. She has also had plenty of success in the WPL, as she has 22 wickets and 261 runs from 21 matches. In her most recent match against UP Warriorz, she was named the player of the match as she picked up 2 wickets and scored 27*(10). Wareham would prove to be a threat to the opposition with her flexibility in batting and her ability to pick wickets through the middle stages of the game.
Renuka Singh Thakur
Renuka Singh Thakur, the Indian seam bowler, was released by Royal Challengers Bengaluru and was picked by the Giants in the WPL 2026 auction. In her T20I career, she has picked up 62 wickets, including a 5-wicket haul from 55 innings at an economy of just over 6. Renuka, however, hasn’t been at her best in the WPL as she has only picked up 15 wickets from 24 innings at an economy of above 8. In the fixture against the Warriorz, she bowled brilliantly, picking 2 wickets for 25 runs from just 4 overs. Renuka’s accurate bowling and the swing she brings with the new ball will be tricky for the opposition batters, making her a key part of the Giants’ plans.
