Twitter reacts after Mumbai Indians record a thumping win over UP Warriorz

Mumbai Indians and the UP Warriorz both sides were coming off defeats in their previous game, against DC and RCB respectively. Twitter reacts as Mumbai Indians returned to winning ways with a comprehensive 42-run victory over UP Warriorz.

The Mumbai Indians skipper Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and opted to bat first. Mumbai Indians posted a competitive total (160/6) on the board, courtesy of vital contributions from the middle order consisting of the likes of Nat Sciver-Brunt (45 off 31 balls), Amelia Kerr (39 off 23 balls), skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (33 off 30 balls), and Sajeevan Sajana (22 off 14 balls) with the top performers with the bat for Mumbai Indians.

Chamari Athapaththu (4-0-27-2) and Deepti Sharma (4-0-31-1) were the top performers with the ball for UP Warriorz.

Chasing a tricky 160-run target, UP Warriorz got off to a poor start, courtesy of another failure from the UP Warriorz top order. However, Deepti Sharma led some sort of a recovery for the Warriorz, as she smashed her maiden half-century in the Women’s Premier League.

However, she failed to get her side over the line as the UP Warriorz fell 42 runs short of the target. Deepti Sharma (53 off 36 balls) and Shweta Sehrawat (17 off 15 balls) were the top performers with the bat for UP Warriorz.

Saika Ishaque (4-0-27-3), Hayley Matthews (4-0-22-1), and Nat Sciver-Brunt (2-0-14-2) were the top performers with the ball for the Mumbai Indians.

Nat Sciver-Brunt was awarded the Player of the Match for her match-winning all-round performance scoring (45 off 31 balls) and returning with match figures (2-0-14-2) with the ball.
