Bio:

Georgia Wareham is known for her prowess in both T20 and ODI formats. She made her debut for the Australian Women’s WT20I team against New Zealand in September 2018, quickly establishing herself as a promising talent following this, Wareham was selected for Australia’s squad in the 2018 ICC Women’s World T20 tournament held in the West Indies.

Wareham continued to earn recognition as one of the breakout stars in women’s cricket by the ICC in 2018. Her impressive performances led to Australia awarding her a full contract in April 2019 setting the stage for a promising career ahead, she further cemented her position by being named in Australia’s squad for the women’s Ashes tour to England in June 2019, and later for the 2020 ICC Women’s T20 world cup hosted in Australia and has overall taken 51 wickets in 48 innings averaging 16.43 at an economy of 6.23.

Outside international cricket, Wareham also made an impact in domestic leagues in the inaugural season of the WPL in 2023, she was acquired by the Gujarat giants for a substantial sum of 75 lakhs where she only got 2 opportunities, later released by them but, in the 2024 auction Wareham was picked up by the Royal Challengers Bangalore Women’s team further highlighting her value as a cricketer.
