Keerthana Balakrishnan plays for Tamil Nadu in the domestic tournaments, and her exploits with her domestic side saw her getting selected for the South-Zone side for the Senior Women’s Inter-Zonal Trophy 2023. The leg spinner played a crucial role in her team’s campaign and led the bowling attack from the front.
In the recently concluded Senior Women’s T20 Trophy 2023, Keertha Balakrishnan was one of the most successful bowlers of the tournament. In 7 innings Keertha claimed a total of 12 wickets. She bowled skillfully and with great control, conceding runs only at an economy of 5.40.
Balakrishnan was acquired by Mumbai Indians in the Auction that took place in December 2023, for a price of 10 Lakhs. She will be hoping to make her WPL debut this season on the back of her good performances in the domestic tournament.
