Bio:
Sajeevan Sajana comes from a very humble background with her father who was a rickshaw driver in Kerala’s town. She first represented Kerala at the under-23 level, where she led her team to the Twenty-20 Super League title in 2019.
In the recently concluded Senior Women’s T20 Trophy 2023, Sajana was one of the key performers for the Kerala outfit. In 7 innings Sajana scored 134 runs with the bat at an average of 33.50. She remained not out in 3 out of those innings and scored at a strike rate of 108.94. With the ball in hand, Sajana claimed 6 wickets and bowled with control.
She is yet to make her debut in the WPL, she was purchased in the auction held in December 2023 in the build-up to this year’s WPL. Sharing the dressing room with the greats of the game, this WPL will be a great learning experience for Sajana and she will be hoping to carry what she learns at the WPL to the domestic circuit.
