The ICC T20 World Cup European Qualifier will be played from August 26-31. All matches will take place in Spain. The participating countries are Germany, France, Turkey, Scotland, Netherlands and Ireland.
The Ireland squad is undergoing a last-minute change as Shauna Kavanagh has to withdraw unfortunately because of testing positive for Covid-19. Cricket Ireland has called up Amy Hunter as her replacement. Hunter is a 15-year old right-handed batswoman and wicketkeeper. She made her international debut in May 2021 and has twice been a part of the Ireland squad.
The European Qualifier will be played at the La Manga Club in a round-robin format. Only the top team out of all six participants will advance to the 2022 ICC Women’s World T20 Global Qualifier Tournament.
