Twin half-centuries from Maia Bouchier and Danni Wyatt-Hodge powers England to a thumping 10-wicket win as Scotland bows out of their maiden T20 World Cup tournament without a win.

England led by skipper Heather Knight was up against Scotland led by skipper Kathryn Bryce in the 17th match of the tournament at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Scotland skipper Kathryn Bryce won the toss and opted to bat first. The Scotland openers Saskia Horley and wicket-keeper batter Sarah Bryce got their side off to a steady start with a 38-run opening partnership.

Nat Sciver-Brunt picked up the wicket of Saskia Horley to provide the first breakthrough for England. Wicket-keeper batter Sarah Bryce soon followed her back to the pavilion to provide the 2nd breakthrough for England. Ailsa Lister joined skipper Kathryn Bryce at the crease and the duo stitched a crucial 26-run partnership for the 3rd wicket to take their side closer to the 100-run mark. Danielle Gibson picked up the wicket of Ailsa Lister to provide the 3rd breakthrough for her side.

Scotland eventually ended up with a total of 109/6 in their quota of 20 overs. Skipper K Bryce (33 off 28 balls), wicket-keeper batter S Bryce (27 off 31 balls), and Saskia Horley (13 off 23 balls) were the top performers with the bat for Scotland. Sophie Ecclestone (4-0-13-2), Lauren Bell (4-0-16-1), and Nat Sciver-Brunt (4-0-20-1) were the top performers with the ball for England.

Chasing a target of 110, the England openers Danielle Wyatt-Hodge and Maia Bouchier sealed the run chase with an unbeaten 113-run opening stand, scoring at a rate of over 11 runs an over. England sealed a thumping 10-wicket win with 10 overs (60 balls) to spare. Maia Bouchier (62* off 34 balls), and Danielle Wyatt-Hodge (51* off 26 balls) were the top performers with the bat for their side.

Maia Bouchier was awarded the Player of the Match for her sensational match-winning half-century (62* off 34 balls) with the bat for her side. England received a massive boost to their net run rate as they are at the top of the table with one game to go against the West Indies.
