The Keeper batter Nigar Sultana responsible innings helped Bangladesh continue their winning streak in the tournament by defeating Scotland by 13 runs in a rain-shortened game at Dundee on Tuesday.

As the rain disturbed many games of the tournament, it continued again yesterday at Dundee for the match between Bangladesh and Scotland. It was rain-shortened 17 overs game in the beginning.

Winning the toss, Scotland opted to bowl expecting more rain later in the day. Opening the inning for Bangladesh, the in-form batter Sanjida Islam was dismissed early for 6. Her partner and the following batter had a decent partnership 31. Khatun got out on 26 and Sultana scored 35, she was the highest run-scorer for the team. In the end, Fargana Haque played a cameo of 23 helped  Bangladesh to set a target of 105 in 17 overs.

Sadly, it started to rain and the match was shortened again to 8 overs and the new target for Scotland was 64. The opener Sarah Bryce did not have a good start as she was stumped for 3 on the bowling of Nahida Akter. It was only Skipper Kathryn Bryce who played a good inning of 21, she tried her best to chase but sadly no other batter helped her and they were short by 13 runs in the end.

With this win, Bangladesh continued their winning streak and have qualified for Knockouts. On the other side of the story, Scotland missed a chance to qualify with the loss against Bangladesh.
