The Young guns Siegers and Zwilling shine for Dutch as the Netherlands won the game against Namibia by 6 wickets at Arbroath on Monday.
On winning the toss, Namibia skipper opted to bat. The openers failed to produce a good start as Wittmann was dismissed without scoring, her opener Adri van der Merwe played a responsible inning of 29. The rest of the batters failed to score big because of the excellent bowling from young 17-year-old Zwilling who claimed 3 wickets and she was well supported by Siegers who picked the same. Namibia ended up the inning with a below-par score of 91 for 8 in 20 overs.
Chasing the target, The Netherlands had a decent start of 40 runs in which it was majorly dominated by Kallis who scored 34, she had a pretty good tournament with the bat. Later the dynamic cameo from Heather Siegers of 21 in just 8 balls helped her team to chase the target with ease in 17.1 overs.
Though the Netherlands won, they are not qualified as they are placed 6th on the points table. On the other side, Namibia too failed to qualify for the knockout, they are winless in this tournament.
