A lightning century from Lizelle Lee helped Melbourne Stars finally to win a match in this season of WBBL by defeating Scorchers on Saturday.

Scorchers on winning the toss decided to bowl. Stars who are almost out of the tournament did not have anything to lose in the match. The Opener Lee was completely fearless. Stars inning was completely dominated by her, the other batters were just witnessing the dashing batting from Lee. Lee scored her second WBBL century in just 63 balls. It was fearless and aggressive batting from the dashing opener. She ended up scoring 103 not out in just 65 balls including 13 fours and 3 sixes. With the ball, it was Graham who picked up two wickets of Villani and Du Preez. In the end, Stars ended up scoring 155 for 3 in 20 overs.

Chasing the target of 156, Scorchers started well but failed in the later stage of the game. Opener Amy Jones got out for just 17, whereas her partner Lanning scored 40. Nat Sciver too scored a decent 26 but failed to score big. At the end with the lovely bowling from leg spinner, Penna and Osborne helped Stars to their first win. In the end, Scorchers finished at 135 for 6 losing the game by 20 runs.

With this win, Stars finally made a mark in this season, all credits to Lee who got her second Century of WBBL.
