An impressive display of spin bowling by Jonassen helps Heat to win over Thunders in a low scoring encounter at Sydney on Saturday.

Winning the toss, Thunder opted to bowl. For a change, Mooney failed to perform in the tournament. She got out after scoring 22 runs, Credits to proteas pace gun Ismail who was terrific on the day with her fast bowling. She got both the openers. The incoming batters did not spend much time at the crease as the top order dismissed cheaply. Finally, at the end of the dynamic batting of Laura Harris and Kerr helped Heat to reach a figure of 128 for 8 in 20 overs. With the ball, it was Ismail and Dar picked up a couple of wickets each.

Chasing the score of 128 on a slow pitch, openers failed again to give a good start. Though Priest scored 3 fours was not able to convert. The other incoming players did spend much time too. All credits to Heat bowlers. Each and every bowler had put pressure on Thunders which made them give away wickets in pressure. Jonassen picked 4 with her spin, Kimmince got 2 and others a wicket each. Finally, Thunder finished their inning at 96 Allout losing by 32 runs with Wilson being top scorer by 19 runs.

Brief Scores: Heat 128 for 8 in 20 overs (Harris 30 & Dar 2 for 15) defeated Thunder 96 for 10 in 19.1 overs. (Wilson 19 & Jonassen 4 for 13) by 32 runs.
