Yet again we witnessed dominating victories on the fourth day of the ACC Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2024. Sri Lanka led by skipper Chamari Athapaththu defeated Malaysia led by skipper Winifred Duraisingam by 144 runs in the 7th match of the tournament. On the other hand, Bangladesh led by skipper Nigar Sultana Joty defeated Thailand by seven wickets in the 8th match of the tournament.
The United Arab Emirates led by skipper Esha Oza were all set to face Pakistan led by skipper Nida Dar in the 9th match of the tournament. Pakistan skipper Nida Dar won the toss and opted to field first. Pakistan kept the same side, while the UAE made one change to their side, Suraksha Kotte replaced Rithika Rajith in the playing 11.

After being inserted to bat first, the UAE openers, wicket-keeper batter Theertha Satish and skipper Esha Oza got their side off to a steady start, with a 29-run opening partnership.
