However, captain Harmanpreet Kaur’s knock of 66 off 47 deliveries and an unbeaten 64 from Richa Ghosh off just 29 balls restored India’s innings, pushing them to a total of 201. UAE’s Kavisha Egodage managed to claim 2 wickets amidst India’s attack.

Chasing 202 for victory, the UAE found themselves in early trouble at 31/2 during the powerplay, unable to recover fully throughout their innings. Despite a fighting 40 off 32 balls from Kavisha Egodage, the UAE struggled against India’s bowling attack. Deepti Sharma was instrumental with the ball, claiming 2 wickets for 23 runs, ensuring the UAE never gained momentum. In the end, India’s bowling effort restricted UAE to 123/7, securing a convincing win.

Richa Ghosh (India)

Richa emerged as the standout player in the match, guiding India to a total of 201 runs. Her innings began when she took the field after Jemimah’s dismissal in the 12th over with the score at 106/4. From there, Richa scored 64 runs off just 29 balls. This inning not only pushed India to a competitive total of 201 runs but also marked a significant milestone for Richa, registering her maiden fifty in T20I cricket. Her outstanding performance earned her the Player of the Match award as well.

Harmanpreet Kaur (India)

Harmanpreet Kaur delivered a crucial innings that boosted India’s total to 201 runs. Her composed effort saw her score 66 runs off 47 deliveries, which included 7 fours and 2 sixes, beyond contributing significantly to the team’s total, Harmanpreet Kaur also achieved a remarkable milestone in her cricketing career by becoming the third-highest run-scorer in T20 International history, surpassing Australia’s Meg Lanning.

Kavisha Egodage (United Arab Emirates)

Despite ending on the losing side, Kavisha made contributions with both bat and ball in the match. In the first innings, she claimed 2 crucial wickets.
