Players to watch out:

Sidra Amin

The 32-year-old opening batter, from 52 T20I innings, has amassed 918 runs and registered the highest score of 63. Sidra has been in notable form lately, stepping up time and again with important knocks. In her previous 3 T20Is, including the Asia Cup opener, Sidra has managed starts, registering scores of 11, 26, and 25. She is a seasoned batter, and it is expected that she converts these starts into substantial scores.

Fatima Sana

The 22-year-old bowling all-rounder has secured 30 wickets from 36 T20I innings, maintaining an economy rate of 7.39, while from 22 batting innings she has posted 192 runs. Fatima, in her previous 5 T20Is, has only managed one wicket but has kept a check on her economy rate. In this tournament opener, Fatima registered figures of 0/15 (2) and a handy 22* with the bat. She has looked in rhythm with the ball and should be backed to find her wicket-taking best.

Rubina Chettri

The 30-year-old all-rounder, in T20Is, has accumulated 751 runs from 47 innings, at an average of 24.22, while from 54 bowling outings she has taken 42 wickets, maintaining an economy rate of 3.86. In her most recent campaign earlier this year, among her starts and wickets, her season bests of 118* (also her career-best) and 3/2 came in the same game. She can be counted on to replicate that success and deliver the goods.

Kabita Kunwar

The 20-year-old pacer, from 48 T20Is, has picked up 41 wickets, maintaining an economy rate of 3.70, and has chipped in with the bat, adding 201 runs from 27 innings. In her most recent campaign earlier this year, Kabita picked up 4 wickets from 5 outings and made a couple of handy contributions with the bat. In the tournament opener, she was economical yet wicketless but can be relied upon to step up her efforts.

Pitch:

The 22 yards at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium offer a well-balanced playing surface suited for both batters and bowlers. While spinners enjoy the assistance of the pitch, batters are rewarded for their shots, and the average score at the venue is in the 140s.

Weather:

With moderate winds, 60% humidity, and the temperature expected to be around 28°C, the conditions are ideal for a game in Dambulla. With partly cloudy skies and minimal chances of rain, we should have a complete game.
