Bio:
Eden Carson is a natural talent from the New Zealand women’s team. She has a variety of bowling options, emerging as one of the most promising spin bowlers in New Zealand. She made her T20 International debut on July 30, 2022, against South Africa during the Commonwealth Games Women’s Cricket Competition in Birmingham. After that, she made her ODI debut on September 22, 2022, against the West Indies during the New Zealand women’s tour of the West Indies in North Sound.
Carson made her List A career debut in 2018 for the Otago Sparks against Wellington during the 2018-19 Hallyburton Johnstone Shield. Carson took her maiden T20 five-wicket haul in 2020 against Central Hinds with best bowling figures of 5/18. She also achieved the memorable feat of claiming 31 wickets during the 2021-22 season, ending as the third-highest wicket-taker in the same season. Following this performance, she was awarded the Phyl Blackler Cup for bowling excellence at the 2022 New Zealand Cricket Awards.
She also won the bronze medal with the White Ferns at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Carson continued to prove herself on the world stage at the 2023 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in South Africa, where she was a standout performer for the White Ferns, claiming six wickets and putting out her best performance in that tournament.
