Bio:
Isabella Gaze, 20, the talented wicketkeeper-batter from New Zealand made her T20 International debut on July 30, 2022, against South Africa during the Commonwealth Games Women’s Cricket Competition in Birmingham. She then made her ODI debut on 19 September 2022, against the West Indies during the New Zealand women’s tour of the West Indies in North Sound.
Isabella is a reliable wicketkeeping-batting option who made her place in the New Zealand Women’s squad after the retirement of wicketkeeper-batter Katey Martin. She received a central contract from New Zealand Cricket in June 2022. She won the Bronze medal with the New Zealand women’s team at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. She also represented the Auckland Hearts in the 2019-20 Super Smash season, but missed much of the season due to a collarbone fracture.
Gaze has only played for the Auckland women’s team in domestic leagues. She also played for the New Zealand Under-19 squad in the 2023 ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup, where she scored 47 runs in her three innings at the tournament.
