Bio:

Molly Penfold is a strong and tall bowler who made her ODI debut on September 21, 2021, against England during the New Zealand women’s tour of England in Leicester, where she delivered a match-winning performance by taking 2 wickets in 10 overs at an economy rate of 4.20. One year after her ODI debut, Molly made her T20 International debut on October 6, 2022, against the West Indies during New Zealand’s tour of the West Indies in North Sound.

Penfold is one of the fastest bowlers from the New Zealand women’s team who can consistently bowl at higher speeds. She was born in Kingston, England, but later moved to Auckland with her family at a young age. Her older sister, Josie, also plays domestic cricket for the Auckland women’s team alongside her. In August 2021, Penfold was added to New Zealand’s squad as a reserve player for the 2022 Women’s Cricket World Cup.

Penfold does not have as much experience in franchise cricket as she only plays for one domestic team, the Auckland Women, but she is a top-class player who can defeat opposition batters with her fiery pace.
