Bio:
Her journey began in October 2019 when she received a call-up to the national team for the series against Bangladesh. This series marked a double debut for Sadia, as she put on the green jersey for the first time in both the WT20I and WODI formats. Her WT20I debut came against Bangladesh on October 26th, 2019, while her maiden WODI appearance followed closely on November 2nd against the same opponents.
Sadia’s dedication to the sport was further acknowledged in January 2020 with a selection for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup held in Australia. This opportunity allowed her to share the field with some of the best players in the world and gain valuable experience at the international level. She continued to be a part of the national team, featuring in major tournaments like the 2021 Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier and the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
A significant milestone arrived for Sadia on November 4th, 2023, during an WODI match against Bangladesh in Mirpur; this match witnessed her claim to fame as she clinched her first ever four-wicket haul in WODIs, taking an impressive 4/13. This phenomenal bowling performance not only solidified her place in the Pakistan’s bowling attack but also showcased her potential.
