Bio:

Tuba’s journey began in January 2022 when she received a call-up as a reserve player for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in New Zealand. This opportunity to be around the national team fuelled her desire to excel.

A few months later, in May 2022, her dedication was rewarded with a place in both the WT20I and WODI squads for Sri Lanka’s tour of Pakistan. This tour proved to be a defining moment in Tuba’s career. On May 24th, 2022, she made her international debut in the first WT20I against Sri Lanka. This debut was nothing short of spectacular as she etched her name in history by taking the best bowling figures by a Pakistani debutant – an impressive 3 wickets for just 8 runs in her four overs.

She was not only selected for the 2022 Commonwealth Games but also became the first Pakistan woman cricketer to win the coveted ICC Women’s Player of the Month award, surpassing her teammate Bismah Maroof and Jersey’s Trinity Smith. This recognition was a testimony to her exceptional bowling skills and a significant milestone for Pakistan’s women’s cricket.

Tuba secured her first central contract with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in July 2022. Finally, in January 2023, she made her ODI debut against Australia, showcasing her ability to contribute across formats.
