Oman Women completed a commanding 4–0 sweep over Denmark Women in the Denmark Women tour of Oman 2025–26 T20I series, underlining their growing stature in the associate women’s game with dominant batting displays, consistent bowling performances and several notable individual records. The series was historic even before a ball was bowled. It marked Denmark Women’s first ever bilateral international tour, as they stepped into unfamiliar conditions against a side steadily rising through the Asian associate ranks. With the two teams having never previously met in international cricket, the four-match T20I contest was a fresh chapter for both sides. Played entirely at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground from 3 to 7 February 2026, the series was marked by high team totals, a century and emphatic winning margins that reflected the gap between the two sides.

The tone was set in the opening T20I when Oman piled up 191 for 4 in 20 overs, one of their highest T20I totals. Jayadhanyha Gunasekar anchored the innings with a composed 54 off 46 balls, while Nitya Joshi provided acceleration with 44 off just 25 deliveries. Late contributions ensured Oman finished strongly, pushing Denmark immediately onto the back foot. In reply, Denmark were restricted to 82 for 7, handing Oman a 109-run victory and early control of the series.
The second T20I followed a similar pattern. Oman posted 152 for 8, a competitive total built on collective contributions across the batting order. Denmark once again struggled in the chase and managed only 82 for 7 for the second consecutive match, giving Oman a 70-run win and a 2–0 lead. After two matches, Oman had scored 343 runs compared to Denmark’s 164, a clear indication of the difference in batting strength and adaptability to conditions.
The defining performance of the series came in the third T20I. Oman produced a batting masterclass, racing to 219 for 1 in their 20 overs, the highest team total of the series and one of the biggest in Oman Women’s T20I history. The innings was built around a magnificent 101 not out from Jayadhanyha Gunasekar, who reached her century off 62 balls. It was the only hundred of the series and the highest individual score across the four matches. Denmark’s response never threatened the target and they were bowled out for 81 for 9, giving Oman a crushing 138-run victory, the largest margin of the tour.
With the series already sealed, Oman maintained their standards in the fourth and final T20I. They compiled 185 for 3, powered by a steady 62 not out from captain Priyanka Mendonca along with valuable support from the middle order. Denmark managed 100 for 9 in reply, their highest total of the series but still well short, as Oman secured an 85-run win to complete the clean sweep.
Across the four matches, Oman scored 191, 152, 219 and 185, an aggregate of 747 runs. Denmark, in comparison, managed 82, 82, 81 and 100, totaling 345 runs. Oman more than doubled Denmark’s output over the course of the series. Gunasekar finished as the leading run-scorer with 174 runs, highlighted by her century and half-century, and set the benchmark with the highest individual score of 101 not out. On the bowling front, Oman’s attack consistently applied pressure and prevented Denmark from building partnerships. Wickets were shared among the bowlers like Sushanthika Sathiya and captain Priyanka Mendoca, reflecting a balanced and disciplined unit. For Denmark, the tour offered valuable exposure in overseas conditions, but the batting unit in particular struggled to convert starts into substantial scores.
The 4–0 result was more than just a series win. It was a statement of Oman Women’s continued progress and their growing confidence at the associate level. For Denmark, the tour represented an important milestone as their first bilateral assignment, offering lessons that will shape their development moving forward.
