Born on 12 October 2004 in Sargodha, a city known for producing sports talent in Punjab, Eyman grew up in a supportive family that nurtured her sporting interests from an early age. Her ascent through Pakistan’s regional cricket reflects the crucial role of familial encouragement and community infrastructure, particularly in a country where women’s cricket has fought hard for support and recognition.

Eyman’s cricketing journey began at the school and local club level in Sargodha. Like many of her peers, she sharpened her batting technique and temperament in tape-ball cricket—an informal but vital nursery for Pakistani talent. She soon progressed to represent her district and was subsequently drafted into regional teams, notably Central Punjab Women Under-19s, a breeding ground for several national prospects.

Her game, characterised by a right-handed batting stance and proactive strokeplay, set her apart early. Coaches and selectors noted her ability to rotate the strike and accelerate, rare skills among young Pakistani batters. Her progress earned her places with teams such as Pakistan Women Under-19s, PCB Strikers, Amazons, Lahore Women, and Conquerors, giving her exposure to the country’s growing women’s domestic T20 structure.

Eyman’s breakout moment came at the inaugural ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup in 2023. Batting as Pakistan’s key top-order player, she finished as the team’s highest run-scorer, 157 runs in five matches, with an impressive strike rate of 126.61 and an average of 52.33, placing fourth in the overall tournament run charts.

Her tally of runs included a couple of half-centuries to her name. Her best performance for her side in that tournament came on 15th January 2023, when she scored an unbeaten half-century, 65* (60 balls) against Rwanda at Potchefstroom. She was also awarded the Player of the Match for her impressive match-winning innings with the bat for her side. Her performances caught the eye of senior team scouts, setting the stage for fast-tracking into higher competitive arenas.

Her domestic form remained electric. In the 2025 National T20 tournament, Eyman amassed 287 runs, earning the rank of fourth-highest run-scorer and posting a strike rate exceeding 155, an elite mark in domestic T20s and second only to current national captain Fatima Sana. Crucially, Eyman’s runs came in high-pressure chases and vital matches, underscoring her temperament and versatility as both an anchor and aggressor.

In July 2025, Eyman Fatima was rewarded with her maiden call-up to the Pakistan women’s T20I squad for the Ireland series, three matches scheduled to begin in Dublin on 6 August. The selection committee’s decision, coming on the back of Nida Dar’s absence and the team’s search for fresh batting dynamism, marked an important generational shift. Eyman now stands poised to become a permanent fixture in the Pakistan lineup as the team enters a cycle of renewal and long-term vision for global tournaments.

Eyman Fatima’s rise represents more than just individual achievement; it’s a testament to the evolution of women’s cricket in Pakistan. Grassroots systems, family support, and changing perceptions have come together to produce a role model for the next generation. Though still awaiting her official international debut, Eyman stands at the threshold of a new phase, not just in her own journey, but in the ongoing narrative of Pakistan women’s cricket.

As the team prepares for the Irish challenge and beyond, Eyman’s journey from Sargodha’s local pitches to the world stage offers inspiration and hope for untapped talent across the country.
