Zimbabwe U19 Women secured a 36-run win over Tuskers Women in the Zimbabwe Women’s T20 Cup 2026 on August 25, at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo. Zimbabwe U19 Women posted 104/9 in their 20 overs, while Tuskers Women managed 68/9 in their 20 overs. The result saw Zimbabwe U19 Women complete a comfortable win after a strong bowling display kept Tuskers Women under pressure throughout their chase in the match.

Nicolette Nyika top-scored for Zimbabwe U19 Women with 43 runs from 42 balls, hitting three fours and two sixes. Christina Mutasa also made an important contribution, scoring 32 from 37 balls with three fours. Salem Museka added 16 from 14 balls, while Buhlebenkosi Maphosa remained unbeaten on 3 from 4 balls. Zimbabwe U19 Women finished on 104/9, with extras contributing seven runs, including three wides, two leg byes and two byes.
Zimbabwe U19 Women lost two early wickets for just seven runs, with Beloved Biza and captain-wicketkeeper Lorraine Pemhiwa dismissed in the second over. Tuskers Women struggled to build a steady partnership during their chase of 105. Lindrose Masina scored four from 14 balls, while Loryn Phiri and Natasha Mthomba were dismissed without scoring. Chiedza Dhururu made three from 13 balls, and Thubelihle Saidi scored eight from 18 balls. Tasmeen Granger was the top scorer with 23 from 25 balls, including one four, while Tendai Makusha finished unbeaten on six.
Tuskers Women lost wickets regularly and were reduced to 27/7 by the 12th over. Gracious Nsingo added nine from 16 balls before being run out at 46, while Granger was dismissed at 63 in the 20th over. Tuskers Women ended on 68/9 from their 20 overs, with extras making up 10 runs, including seven wides, one leg bye and two byes. They finished with a run rate of 3.40.
Salem Museka led the Zimbabwe U19 Women bowling attack with four wickets for 13 runs from four overs. Tawananyasha Zvomarima took one wicket for nine runs, while Tadiwanashe Garutsa and Beloved Biza claimed one and two wickets respectively. Makanaka Zinyama and Nicolette Nyika bowled two overs apiece, conceding 11 and nine runs respectively. Zimbabwe U19 Women’s bowlers kept the scoring rate low and did not allow Tuskers Women to recover after their early wickets.

The match ended with Zimbabwe U19 Women on top in the chase at Queens Sports Club after a controlled all-round performance.
