PCB Challengers beat PCB Dynamites to enter the finals of National triangular One-day Women’s Cricket Championship

In the final league game of National triangular One-day Women’s Cricket Championship in Lahore, Pakistan on Tuesday, the PCB Challengers defeated the PCB Dynamites by six wickets. PCB Challengers now will take on the PCB Blasters in the final game of the tournament on Thursday. The final will be played at Lahore Gymkhana ground.

After winning the toss the PCB Challengers decided to have a bowl first. PCB Dynamites could manage just 131 before getting bowled out in 41.5 overs. Syeda Aroob Shah was the pick of the bowlers for the Challengers as she picked up 6 wickets while giving away just 41 runs in her 8.5 Overs. For the Dynamites, Muneeba Ali top-scored with 25 runs off 44 balls, Kainat Imtiaz scored 22 runs off 45 balls and Nahida Khan scored 21 runs.

Challengers chased down the target of 132 runs set by Dynamites in the 29th over itself. The challengers were also in a spot of bother as they lost their first three wickets inside the first ten overs. The PCB Challengers captain, Bismah Maroof made sure that the team got over the line. She scored an unbeaten 55 from 72 balls to see her team through. Bismah shared an important fourth-wicket partnership of 46 runs with Sidra Nawaz. The unbeaten 49 run partnership for the fifth wicket with Iram Javed sealed the game for the Challengers.

Syeda Aroob Shah was a deservedly adjudged player of the match for her match-winning spell. With this win, the PCB Challengers won their third game of the league, thus making it to the final.
