The Sri Lanka Women’s tour of Australia is set to begin on 29th September 2019. Both teams will face off each other in a three-match T20I series followed by three-match ODI series. With the Women’s T20 World Cup just around the corner these are few important matches to find out answers and get plans in place for the World Cup.
Australian team in their recently concluded West Indies tour won both the ODI and T20I series 3-0 comfortably.
The Australian Women’s squad for the T20I against the Sri Lanka Women’s team was announced recently and there have been no changes made to the squad that recently traveled to the West Indies. Sophie Molineux has been left out of the squad due to her shoulder injury. While Elyse Villani and Nicole Bolton, both are still not being considered and are taking part in WNCL. The three-match T20I series between Australia Women and Sri Lanka Women will be played within 4 days. All the games will be played in Sydney.
Heather Graham who was a part of the team that toured West Indies might make her debut sometime in the series. Erin Burns has just been selected for the T20I series.
