The upcoming edition of the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) is the landmark 10th edition of the tournament since it’s inception in the year 2015. Young pace-bowling sensation Milly Illingworth and the 24-year-old wicket-keeper batter Nicole Faltum have signed for the Melbourne Renegades for the upcoming landmark 10th edition of the Women’s Big Bash League.

“Our goal is to identify and bring into our squad as much talent as possible, and the addition of Nicole and Milly is a big step in that direction.” Melbourne Renegades General Manager James Rosengarten speaks about building a talented squad ahead of the upcoming edition of the WBBL.

The 19-year-old pacer Milly Illingworth is the upcoming pace-bowling sensation in Australia. She also represented Australia in the inaugural edition of the ICC Women’s Under-19 World Cup in South Africa, in January, last year.

She will switch to Melbourne Renegades for the upcoming 10th edition of the WBBL. She was picked up by Melbourne Stars, and she made her Women’s Big Bash League debut for the franchise in September 2023. She played 11 matches for the franchise and picked up a couple of wickets at an economy of 7.29 for her side.

The 24-year-old wicket-keeper batter Nicole Faltum plays for Victoria at the domestic level. She was also picked up by Melbourne Stars in the Women’s Big Bash League in the year 2017-18. Apart from her skills with the gloves and with the bat, she has also displayed impressive leadership skills. She led the Melbourne Stars in the absence of their regular skipper Meg Lanning in the eighth edition of the WBBL in 2022. She also led Victoria in the absence of Sophie Molineux.

After being with the Melbourne Stars for multiple editions in the Women’s Big Bash League, she will also move to Melbourne Renegades for the upcoming landmark 10th edition of the Women’s Big Bash League. She has scored 292 runs in 42 innings with the bat, with a best score of 24 for the Melbourne Stars.
