Women’s T20I Quadrangular Series (Netherlands) – Day 4 summary

Thailand Women were up against Scotland Women in the seventh match of the Women’s T20I Quadrangular series. Winning the toss and electing to bowl first, Scotland Women won the match by five wickets. Thailand Women posted a total of 123/7 in the allotted 20 overs.

In reply, Scotland Women reached the target with a boundary on the last ball. Scotland’s wicket-keeper opener Sarah Bryce’s unbeaten 63 off 57 balls included six 4s and a six. Her team-mate Katherine Fraser took three wickets and conceded just 14 runs in her four overs.

Netherlands Women faced Ireland Women in the second match of the day. On winning the toss, Ireland Women elected to bat first. With a record 112-runs opening partnership, Irish batters put up a record team total of 213/4 in 20 overs.

With just 2.4 overs bowled in the second innings, rain intervened. The match was finally called off due to wet outfield. Netherlands’ Leonie Bennett’s 3/22 in her four overs could not stop an outstanding 71-runs innings from Ireland’s opener Gaby Lewis.
