Abigale Gerken:

Realeanna Grimmond:

This West Indian was the highest run-getter in the Under-19 inter-county tournament in May this year. She scored 120 runs, including the best of 91 not out in the finals. She is a class act and will be the key to West Indies’ success with the bat. It will be important for her to shoulder the batting responsibility of the team.

Ashmini Munisar:

The captain of the West Indies is a dashing all-rounder who is a right-arm off-spinner and a right-handed batter. She has featured in CG Insurance Super50 and Blaze T20 Tournament, which saw senior cricketers from the country playing against each other. She has also received a senior national call-up.

Pitch

Expect a hard and new surface that will offer plenty of runs. The outfield here is quick, and the batters will enjoy playing on this surface. On the other hand, the fast bowlers may get assistance from the wicket that is expected to have pace and bounce. The longer boundaries will bring the spinners into play.

Weather

The weather is expected to be partly sunny. The highest temperature attained during the day will be 32 degrees Celsius. There will be a 46 percent cloud cover and a one percent chance of rain. The wind will blow from the north.
